SunnyFashion began, as many companies do, with the simplest of intentions; which is to say, it did not begin as a company at all. At the time, I was an adjunct English professor while my husband was a senior programmer working at a well-known company. Day in and Day out, we repeated and lived this life until we received the most precious gift of our lives - Our daughter, Sunny.

It's hard to put into words how I feel as a first-time mom. It just like everyday, I find myself immersed in buying all sorts of cutey baby items, from diapers, bottles, outfits, pajamas, foods.. When our home was piled with her stuffs even some of them were practically worthless.  As I gained more and more mom experience, I started to realize what is called " The less is more". Therefore I started to only choose to purchase those products that offered me both quality and price advantage.

Later on, I first attempted to handmade a little dress for my then infant daughter in my spare time. It was such fun that I made several, and, under the prompting of my husband, we posted them on Ebay. Those first few pairs were made from scraps of fabric, bits of cotton flowers and reclaimed trim from around the house. I am so humbled by those earliest dresses, because I didn’t have the faintest idea how to sew nor the slightest sense of business acumen. Regardless, my very first wholesale order was from a Canadian celebrity, and in a matter of weeks I had inquiries from distributorships. These were completely surprised and unexpected in our life. With a penchant for the creative and not so much the methodical, my aspiration for manufacturing began nearly from inception, fueled by large order inquiries in just a handful of weeks.

The journey into manufacturing, though, was a long and slow one.

With no industry connections, we initially produced those hand-drawn sketches of dress designs by a small team, handmade entirely at first. My daughter grew, and the dresses changed to accommodate her needs: from casual dresses, to fancy occasion dresses, and eventually to formal dresses when we produced our first line in summer of 2007-two long years and many sleepless nights later.

Since then, so much has changed, but also stayed the same.

SunnyFashion is about exquisite textures, creative styling, and careful details of 100% cotton lining that come together in every single dress or a lovely piece of accessory designed to delight. Whether it’s flowered embroidery, fluffy high-low dresses, ruffled collar, or stylish distressed denim. Our aim is to create the most unique and fancy dresses that make gals shinning in the crowd, feel comfort, confident and special. Every single dress you purchased here are made, checked and carefully packaged, as an appreciation of those mom customers, who enabled me to make a vocation out of something I loved so much.  I would like to keep this love, do my best with every orders made here, and hope in the future I could expand this brand, to include not only girl’s dresses and but also an apparel line with those our baby loves.

Now, we have our own factory, with the core of our team made of an intimate group of wonderful women, who care as passionately about this business as I do.
